STEP’s members are drawn from the legal, accountancy, corporate trust, banking, insurance and other related professions. Full members of STEP can use the widely-recognised TEP (Trust and Estate Practitioner) designation.

Among other benefits STEP membership entails, are access to the largest group of trust and estate practitioners worldwide (listed in the annually published STEP Directory), subscription to the STEP and STEP Avanti periodicals, exchange of information and knowledge through frequent conferences and reports, and the provision of skilled training to students via the STEP diploma programmes. Moreover, full members of STEP can use the widely-recognised TEP (Trust and Estate Practitioner) designation.
