CHAIRMAN’S WELCOME

I have the privilege of welcoming you on behalf of STEP Cyprus to our branch website. As one of the founding members of the Cyprus branch, which was brought into being on 31 October 2003, and which today numbers over 100 professionals, I am especially proud that STEP has managed to bring together, for the first time, Cyprus trust practitioners to exchange ideas and experiences.

STEP Cyprus has far-reaching aims and hopes to play a pivotal role in raising the profile of the trust concept in Cyprus, and in pooling specialist knowledge, experience and know-how with a view to fine tuning the local legislative and regulatory framework. We also hope that the geographical position of Cyprus will enable our branch to act as a regional branch bridge and a centre for regional trust conferences and events.

10/11/2005 We are pleased to announce that the Cyprus branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP Cyprus) in co-operation with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC) are organizing an afternoon Forum on Trusts in Cyprus, which will take place on the 22nd of November 2005 at the Cleopatra Hotel in Nicosia
